George Carlin has died.

George Carlin was one of my all time favorite comedians, and one of the few that I actually got to see in person.

Every place you go today will have some version of this video, but I have to post it as it is the classic George Carlin comedy routine. And since it is a classic George Carlin routine it is very NSFW.

THE SEVEN WORDS YOU CANNOT SAY ON TELEVISION.

Yep that was a classic. But the first time that I became aware of George Carlin it was as "Al Sleet, the Hippy Dippy Weatherman". (You will have to wait until midway through this radio performance to hear Al Sleet, but it is worth it, man.)

  1. Same here. I got to see him in Little Rock way back in the late 70s. He's an icon.

The world just got a little dumber and alot less funny.
What an incredibly sharp, clever, funny and intelligent human being.
I got to see him at the Saenger in New Orleans in the 90's. He's one of those people you never expect to die, you know...he was the best...there will never be another like him.
He once said he believed in Frisbeetarianism. That's the belief that when you die your soul goes up and gets stuck on the roof.
    Now, that's funny stuff.
Goodbye George, you will be missed.
